Neptune in Pisces

Neptune is happy to be at home in Pisces. From April 4, until August 4th, in the year, 2011, Neptune gives us a preview of what it will be like when the planet moves into Pisces  February 4, 2012, where it will stay until August 2025.

While in Aquarius, many of us sought our unique (Uranus rules Aquarius) philosophies and spiritual paths. We dissolved (Neptune) and divided ourselves from local groups and organizations (Aquarius) and became internet friends (Aquarius).

Some believe that as Neptune moves through Pisces differences will dissolve between fighting factions. Religions will flow together, happily conversing on common ground, and people will not divide themselves off from others so rigidly. But it's not so simple to say boundaries will dissolve and people flow together. Events and situations create the need for togetherness. Everything fights the movement tooth and claw before the rivers converge.

The last time Neptune in Pisces addressed the issues of  unity, spiritual evolution, and universal service was between 1846 abd 1861. A look at history shows events very much like today's events and those that took place when Neptune traveled through Aquarius. Boundaries began to dissolve as people looked around while Neptune was in Aquarius and realized that freedom was important. When Neptune moved into Pisces in that era, many began to see the Universal picture (Neptune) and see that all people were not free. Boundaries between man/woman, black/white, rich/poor began to dissolve as people's eyes were open and many realized the differences were more minor than they once believed.

As people flowed together, it was not without conflict. Many stood against the tide of spiritual evolution and tried to turn back time. In this country, civil war erupted between those who believed that all were created equal and those who wanted to keep the old order and enslave those they thought of as different from themselves. Compassion for others had long been kept alive with the work of the underground railroad. Spiritual groups like the Quakers put their beliefs into action, while other religious leaders fought against freedom for anyone but themselves. At the end of Neptune's transit through Pisces, in 1861, the war to abolish slavery and to estanglish unity began. The Imancipation Proclomation, signed into law in 1863 (with Neptune in Aries, protecting the rights of the Individual) would not have happened without the events leading up to this action.

People may come together and demolish boundaries as Neptune moves through Pisces. If so, I believe we'll do this for survival. I believe our factional belief systems will break down because they have to in order to assure our survival. There will be no lone wolf belief systems.

Explore the nature of Neptune in your own life. What was going on when Neptune entered Aquarius in 1998?  Did your philosophy change? Did you reach toward goals that had been elusive. Did internet (Aquarius) dissolve (Neptune) distances between you and others of your friends and groups (Aquarius)? Did you deal with deception and/or illusion when it came to groups, friends, goals or religion? Did music play a part? Did air travel?

In 1844, with Neptune in Aquarius, the first telegraph message was sent. During the most recent years of Neptune transiting through Aquarius, the internet has become the center of our lives, with momentary thoughts tweeted and blogged. Can you see yourself moving away from the internet and into contact with others. Can you see yourself putting yourself to work for the universal good? If (as was true in history) Neptune in Pisces shows an increase in immigration, do you believe the immigration will be to or from the US?
